MERL/ETH Skin Reflectance Database

archival mirror

Introduction

This online-accessible database of skin reflectance types has been published alongside the SIGGRAPH 2006 paper, Analysis of Human Faces using a Measurement-Based Skin Reflectance Model. The database used to be hosted by Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), Cambridge, MA, under https://www.merl.com/facescanning/, but no longer is.

Below we provide a mirror of the original page content, as a means of preserving an archive of the scientific output. Further below, we include what we believe are the original copyright terms.

For details on the underlying skin reflectance model and measurement procedure, please refer to the paper.
